To NOMAD:
Great job. Speed is almost doubled and quality is great. Your a hell of a
coder. Feel free to contact me on DVD/Mpeg specs. I'll help if I can.Thanx
for making my life a little (a lot) easier. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tests
were mainly done to show a comparison between first and second version and the
different algo's. Time seems to be the major difference. Although at this time
I haven't encoded a file large enough to determine if the "memory leak"
was fixed, it probably has been, according to the docs. Let me know of your
testing , theories, etc.. by posting them in my
forum.

All
tests were don directly from this .vob with the exeption of test 4 which was
done with the .m2v demultiplexed from this file. Test were done with Int. DCT,
high priority, and calc. PSNR off.
This
came out second, good quality with good speed. More than twice the speed of
the ReMpeg, first release.
Personally
I'm into quality and don't care about the time, so this is my favorite. It does
however take twice the time of test one but is still faster then release one.
The quality difference is still only slightly noticeable.
Good
quality, good speed. About the same as test one.
This
test was done with the first release of ReMpeg. Slower but still good quality.
I don't see a reason to use this version any longer.
