Hi,

When premastering DVD to DLT tape ForDVD generates 3 files e.g. DDP, Control and the Image file. When premastering DVD to hard disk ForDVD generates 2 files, Control and Image. Control contains the DVD disc control section data. The image file (named layer01.img and layer02.img if dual layer) contains the user data. If going to LBR then you will need all 3 files. If going to todays DVDR then you only need the image file. In the future you may require the Control file on newer more advanced DVDRs.
